Goa over Christmas
Whilst in Goa studying with Sharath over Christmas I linked with an amazing organisation, the Educators Trust. This is run by a beautiful family who teach slum children, their aim is to educate and empower the underpriviliged children in their society through academic and creative education. I hope as an Ashtanga community we can continue to support the valuable work that they are doing, the 108 Surya Namaskara that took place in March raised £1792:50 for the Educators Trust. See the links page for details of their website.
The Suffolk Consortium of Ashtanga Yoga Teachers
The consortium is dedicated to offering traditional quality teaching of Ashtanga Yoga throughout Suffolk. I am working alongside Lisa & Leigh who both teach the method as taught by John & Lucy Scott. Lisa and I have recently held a Bandha workshop and Counted class in Ipswich and we are planning on offering this to students in the Bury area on Friday 17th September from 6-9pm, open to all Ashtanga Yogis working to Navasana....let me know if you would like more information. The three of us have recently spent an incredible time with John whilst he was in the UK..so no doubt his teachings will be filtering into all of our classes!
Ipswich Ashtanga
I am (still!) working on the new website which will be the main source for news of my Ipswich Ashtanga classes, courses & workshops. Keep checking the site http://www.ipswichashtanga.co.uk as it will give details of classes and events in Ipswich and across Suffolk and will be THE website for Ashtanga Yoga in Ipswich!
